Ghana Track Cycling Club was started in Glasgow in September 2013, by a group of Ghanaians living in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Mr. Jedidiah Amoako-Ackah will be one of Ghana’s First Track Cyclist to represent Ghana at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The Project Director and Founder of Ghana Track Cycling, Mr Sean Dyantyi emphasized that any child, young man or woman who conceive a passion for any type of sports, be it Tennis, water sports, Cycling, motor sports, Archery, Snooker and more he or she should be supported financially from the family, business and government and morally entitled to indulge in it, sentiments could be noble. At the same time, nationalism and an increased concern for the people’s rights of various kinds also had their parts to play.
